Before I discovered silver clay, there was Mabel.
During the first Covid lockdown, I wrote and illustrated a series of children's books inspired by my miniature dachshund, Mabel. As a qualified teacher, working in Early Years, I wanted to create stories
that gently helped children understand big emotions and difficult situations in a way that felt safe, reassuring and hopeful.
Although my creative focus is now on designing handmade silver jewellery, these books remain a very special part of my journey and I'm still incredibly proud of them.
Each story explores an important topic through Mabel's adventures, helping children develop emotional resilience, empathy and confidence.
